This spoon is awesome and i credit it for teaching my toddler how to use a spoon! giving him a spoon was a disaster, then i bought it when he was about 22 months old. now, at 2, he can use regular spoons with ease.

My 3yr old is legally blind and has issues with depth perception he always chooses to eat with his fingers because he has a hard time getting the spoon to his mouth without losing most of if not all the food on it. I ordered this spoon to see if it helped him and it’s amazing I will be ordering at least 5-6 more so he can keep one at school this year. I do wish that they made a fork like this.

Really keeps the food on the spoon – Even though my little one does not use it, it does work! It is great since you can use it with either hand and the food really does not fall out. When he uses the spoon his food stays in the spoon till it hits his mouth and is all gobbled up. As far as the little lever at the end he only really played with it once or twice and lost interest in it so we did not have the same issues as others. The issue we have is getting him to use a spoon at all.

Our go-to spoon! My 18-month old would be so hungry without this spoon!! I am constantly amazed by how much lower his success rate is with any other spoon in our arsenal, and have gone to cleaning this one immediately after every meal just so that he will have it available at any point that he needs to eat. The self-leveler is not too fast, so he’s learning some control, but it really does help keep his food in place while he’s navigating toward his mouth. He has a tendency to flip his wrist, so the swivel of the handle corrects that for him as he brings the food up to eat.
Another fantastic feature on this spoon is the deep cup of the spoon. I find that it holds much more food than most baby spoons, and while I bet it would make spoon-feeding an infant frustrating, it is fantastic for my toddler who is ready to get a decent-size bite!
As the clean-up crew, I also love that this tool is so easy to clean. The green part of the spoon snaps in and out of the white handle very easily, so all the parts can be washed without any food getting stuck in a hard-to-reach crevice.
We don’t use the self-locking feature much, but it would be great if you are transitioning from spoon-feeding to self feeding and still want some control during the meal.

Self balancing feature is a hit – We started using this spoon for training the little kiddo at around 15 months, and he loved eating with it. The self-balancing design does work and helps in getting used to of eating with a spoon. We really liked this and highly recommend to use it if you are also in the same situation.

I am so excited to find something that works. I am an Occupational Therapist and I purchased this spoon to use with a child that has an unusual grasp and limited range of motion in her wrist. It was so exciting to see her feed herself independently for the first time. Thank you BEABA for your innovative product.

It’s the best spoon ever! It’s small and deep which is great training utensil and rotates upright for the bubs ????

Love this spoon! Perfect for toddlers and children with certain disabilities. My daughter has cerebral palsy and her occupational therapist introduced me to these self-leveling spoons. She has very little use in her left hand and she always uses her right hand for everything, but this spoon makes it possible for her to eat with her left hand! I wish I had learned about this sooner, it is amazing! Not only that, but my 18 month old uses it often as well. I am going to purchase a bunch more of these, I love them!

Five star spoon – My baby boy?s favorite spoon to begin eating by himself. This video was taken when he was 14 months old. It?s easy for him to use and it doesn?t spill easily! Perfect training spoon. I?ve tried different spoon since he was much younger, but this one is my favorite one. My video speaks better than my writing probably!:)

Great spoon – Love this spoon. I purchased this for my elderly aunt. She was having problems getting food to her mouth without spilling it on her and this spoon worked wonderfully!!!! Super light weight without all of the bulkiness of adaptive spoons.

I ordered 3 & was so pleased I ordered 3 more. It’s great to see my baby grandson get his food from plate to mouth and the spoon is right side up!

Amazing invention- introduce it earlier though! oh my! what a genius invention!
BUT- now my two year old quickly over turns the spoon in her mouth- and all falls out. if she were using a normal spoon, it would have ended up with the food in in her mouth. I should have introduced this spoon when she was 1. At 2 she is figuring out how to use a regular spoon.
However i will still keep this amazing spoon for baby number 2!

Works great for my 20m old! Before receiving this spoon, I was very curious about how it would work-and how easy it would be to clean. To my surprise (and delight) it is a very simple concept, has only two working parts, and is extremely easy to clean with no hard to get areas where apple sauce and other foods can collect and harden. My 20m old uses this spoon, and it has been successful at getting more food into her mouth. Before this spoon, she would try to turn a regular spoon upside down just as it got to her mouth. Which would make a huge mess, and maybe 20% of the food would actually make it to her mouth. I’d say with the self-leveling spoon about 80% goes in her mouth. However, being 20 months old, she always makes a mess of her food, so the spoon has not reduced the mess necessarily. Also, a problem I’ve found with it is that she is so curious about the spoon and how it works that it has become somewhat of a toy. However, I didn’t take any stars away for that, because it’s not the spoon’s fault that I have an overly curious toddler. It has, however, reduced mealtime, as she is getting more food into her mouth, faster. So I think that is a huge win!

Awesome spoon for toddlers – I am a fan of this spoon for my toddler for an unexpected reason. BEABA has this cool concept with the self leveling feature. My almost 2 yo son can easily grip regular tea spoons but he’s always spilling the contents. Other toddler or baby spoons have a small handle so it’s not easy for him to hold. This spoon has a perfect size for gripping and it rests nicely when you prop it up with the level. So the unexpected part is my son likes to grasp it with the levelling weight. Its easy for him to control the spoon and it seems to be his favorite so far. I love that he’s gaining better control because of how he’s holding the spoon. Its a win-win for both of us.

This has helped my 1yr old self feed I believe. She has no problem getting food to her mouth without it falling off while using this spoon as opposed to other spoons. The leveling part is great cause with any other spoon she loses some but with this is moves with her movement and gets it all in her mouth. This is a great product and wish it was around 15yrs ago.

Buy this spoon! Um, love this spoon! Our toddler is getting better at solo eating but still misses or spills half of the time. This spoon provided ZERO spills or messes for an entire meal! Baby was so proud too. Such an amazing device, it will be used everyday in this house.
