Small for a very little beginning eater. – Very small size to fit very little hands. My 8-month old granddaughter handled them comfortably and was able to put them in her mouth. The sides of each utensil is shaped a bit like a pacifier and has small holes that could be used with a pacifier clip. The end of each utensil is rounded and weighted heavier than the spoon or fork side. The back of the spoon has small bumps which my granddaughter liked for teething. The fork could not stab anything harder than a banana.

Great for young kids – My 16 month old son holds them very easily and seems to like attempting to use the spoon. They are a very soft rubber so it can’t really hurt your child or you, your dog, or any other innocent bystander within throwing distance. The hand guard prevents being able to put it deep into a container.
I gave it only 4 stars because the fork is pretty useless as a fork. The tines are very thick, rounded, and spaced somewhat far apart making it near impossible to stab anything especially considering how soft the rubber is.

Simple spoon/fork set – I really love the shape of the spoon. It has a nice cupping to it. However, I do not like the shape of the fork. It is cupped like a spoon, with tines of a fork. I think this is a little more difficult for children to clear the fork with their lips while eating chunkier pieces of food. I would prefer to see a more flat fork. I love that these are dishwasher safe – just throw them in the dishwasher when you are done!

A great set of utensiles for my 3 and 4.5 year old. Only downside: currently overpriced – These are perfect for ages 2+. The grips are fantastic and both are designed for scooping. Great utensils to transition from soft tipped spoons/forks for the earliest eaters. The only downside to these is the price: currently listed at $12.95, this is pretty steep. I wouldn’t pay more than $6 or so. I know Amazon prices fluctuate a lot, so keep an eye out. Otherwise, just right for our two boys.

Cute but not particularly functional – These utensils are cute and great in theory, but the fork is a bit too fat/weak for anything to actually be properly punctured (tried putting a strawberry, banana, etc on the fork directly to hand to my baby). It is good to get the babies used to having utensils, but doesn’t really work to eat food. It seems like my daughter enjoyed using it as a teething toy.

Nice product weird smell – The material is sturdy but soft enough for babies mouth. The one thing is when I opened the package they had a weird plastic kind of smell I will try to wash and see if it goes away. Other than that they are the perfect size for my babies little hands

Great for little ones – This set is great for little once learning to feed themselves the textured rubber makes it easier for them to hold than most silverware. The fork is not really sharp but just enough to pick up soft foods, just wish the spoon had more of a curve so it’s easier to pick up things and hold them

The thought counts – I?m trying to encourage my daughter to use these while eating. She is nine months and she likes the little fork a lot tries to pick up stuff. Unfortunately she can?t seem to figure out the spoon and keeps turning it upside down dipping the ball part into her food and licking it and the fork doesn?t really pick anything up other than spaghetti ???????

Cute, easy grip, chewy – These are great as a first set for baby to learn to grip. It’s good for encouraging their early motor skills. Material is flexible and not too sharp to be dangerous. The size is right for little fingers to grab onto.

Fine Teething Toy But Not So Much For Infant Self-Feeding – This fork and spoon set is super cute, but I have found to be less practical for my 10 month old to actually use.
They are the tiniest set I have come across and I was curious. They are about 40% shorter than the other standard utensils on the market (pictured against 2 other brands).
I make all of our baby’s food (steam & puree, cube & steam, cooked foods, etc.), and did not find that these utensils actually hold the food very well, especially once you guide your infant’s hand-to-mouth gesture. The bulkiness was not practical for our baby to fit this and the food into his mouth (and he is on the top end of height and head size for his age, he is not a petite baby and does not have small features).
I do not recommend these for these uses:
– stabbing cubed foods – this fork can’t
– teaching/guiding your infant’s hand-to-mouth motion – the eating ends are bulkier than standard metal and hard plastic utensils, making it harder for baby to take the bite of food, and the handle is very short making it hard to help baby hold the utensil and then for you hold it to guide their hand
– holding / balancing food on the utensil for actual eating – it’s easier for baby to fling the food off of these than anything else
– if your baby is more interested in actually eating food than chewing on a teether or playing during mealtimes
I have found the Munchkin and Oxo utensil sets to work much better for our 10/11 month old, who wanted to dive right into actually feeding and eating the food by himself, which he’s largely doing now.
If you are really just looking for something for you baby to chew on and hold during mealtimes than actually practicing self-feeding, then this set will be fine for you.
The quality is fine, and I have other Bumkins products that we really value and use regularly, but these utensils did not do the trick for our eager-to-self-feed baby.
Every baby is different. I am expecting another child in about 4 months and will hold onto these to see how the new baby takes to them, and try them at a slightly earlier age.

Decent set – These are pretty decent. What I wasnt as fond of is that the tongs on the fork are easily bent and the spoon and fork can bend from the handles a little. Not a huge problem but just not what I’m used to from other brands. They’re a nice size and chunky handles for little hands to manage easily.
